CBR Rally ( 1 items )
The 6th of January saw second stage its highest profile event for some years, with a march from Tweedbank along the route of the Waverley Line to Galashiels, followed by a rally in the Market Square there. The primary objective of the event was to send a message to the Scottish Executive that it's about time they stopped prevaricating and made a commitment to fund it's rebuilding, and not, per se, to mark the anniversary of closure to passenger traffic which, as members will be aware, happened on that date in 1969 - it would, though, have been difficult to find a more appropriate date.
