  • Employment of an in-house ecologist who assesses potential wildlife issues at sites

Awards

Our environmental efforts have been recognised, and we have won the following awards:

Balfour Beatty Rail System team, led by Balfour Beatty Rail Projects, won BAA’s T5 Environmental Award.

Balfour Beatty Rail Track Systems, Midland Foundry has won three Green Apple Awards for reductions on energy use and environmental improvements.

Edgar Allen – Bathgate Foundry and Railway Engineers – has been awarded the RoSPA Gold award for Occupational Health and Safety.
