Balfour Beatty Rail Projects have an enviable history of delivering rail engineering projects throughout the world. We provide the expertise to deliver - from inception through to project close out.
Our experience covers the design, construction and commissioning of infrastructure projects in main line, mass transit, underground and light rail.
We undertake both the remodelling and upgrading of existing infrastructure and the construction of new systems, with specialisation in permanent way, overhead line electrification and power supply systems.
Our current client community includes Transport for London, the Olympic Development Authority and Network Rail. Our most recent or current work includes some of the UK’s most visible rail engineering projects: Heathrow Terminal 5, West Coast Route Modernisation, and East London Railway are just a few.

- Our Design Engineering unit is continuously driving our business forward and are seeking Designers within the Permanent Way, Civil and Electrification disciplines.

- Our project based teams include roles for Safety, Planning and Project Management people. Pway, Power, OLE and Civil works mean we’re seeking Site Engineers of all levels to join us on these teams too.
- Our Commercial, Finance, IT and HR departments support our client facing teams to ensure the business runs like clockwork behind the scenes.
- Developing and winning new work is a complex task in our industry, our Business Development, Estimating and Tendering teams really know their stuff.
