About Us
Balfour Beatty Plant & Fleet Services provide national coverage from strategically located depots providing a wide range of services including:

Crane Services – providing a full range of tower and crawler cranes with full risk assessment and planning services.

Accommodation and Site Services – providing modern, durable accommodation, site engineering services, survey equipment and facilities management.

Trackside Plant and Equipment – providing over 10,000 assets to the rail industry as well as a complete site establishment service.

Construction Plant Services – comprehensive general operated and self drive plant hire service including innovative strategic plant for bespoken needs.

Fleet Services - a complete service for both Contract Hire and Fleet Management.
We take pride in being able to offer our customers the support and assistance they need in finding the right vehicle and have carefully chosen our vehicle fleet based on environmental and safety ratings as well as whole life economy to the customer.
Balfour Beatty Plant & Fleet Services currently supply and manage in excess of 8500 company cars, vans, HGV’s and commercial vehicles, including specialist equipment for road gritting and surface dressing. We also have our own UK-wide network of workshops as well as a number of mobile technicians to support our vehicles.

Our business is involved in a wide range of different industry sectors, which means the working environments differ significantly throughout the business.
There are such a range of opportunities that you could work on construction sites, in a workshop, in a power station, on railway sites, be field based or work in an office environment. Our variety of working methods really do mean that there is something to suit everyone.
Types of roles

Fleet Services - we have a variety of workshop and field based opportunities from Supervisors and Fitters to Valeters, Joiners and Paint Sprayers. We also have opportunities for Fleet Specialists which can include Maintenance Controllers, Area Transport Engineers, Commercial Vehicle Operations Engineers, Hire Desk Administrators.

Plant Services – we have opportunities for skilled Plant Fitters, Tower and Crawler Crane Operators, Plant Operators, HGV Drivers, Engineers, Depot Managers, Hire Controllers and Supervisors.
In addition to these roles we have opportunities for Commercial, Finance, IT and HR professionals.

Our locations: Our Headquarters are in Derby, but we also have strategically placed Depots and workshops throughout the UK which include; Ashford, Bellshill, Birmingham, Cefn Fforest, Fareham, Northallerton, Romford, Ruislip, Skipton Southampton and Three Bridges.
